Overview

Dive into crystal-clear waters, swim with whale sharks, and relax on white-sand beaches with turquoise seas at your feet — that’s what my next group trip to the Maldives will be all about! As a diver and ocean lover, the Maldives is my top destination for snorkeling and freediving. It’s home to some of the best marine life, stunning islands, and unbeatable tropical vibe. I want this trip to be accessible to everyone, both divers and non-divers. You won’t need any diving experience to join — just a sense of curiosity and a love for travel. It’s the perfect chance to connect with like-minded people, experience the magic of the Maldives, and create unforgettable memories.

Itinerary

DAY 1 - welcome to the maldives

Your adventure starts in Male, the capital of the Maldives and your arrival destination. At the airport, our team will assist you with transportation to Maafushi Island. Once on the island, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy dinner with the group.

day 2 - let's go sharks!

Rise and shine! We'll start our first day early, packed with adventure and adrenaline. Our first stop: swimming with over 20 Grey Nurse sharks! After the dive, we’ll head to the beautiful island of Fulidhoo for a relaxing beach picnic. Next, we’ll embark on a search for dolphins and Manta rays, wrapping up the day with more snorkeling in crystal-clear waters.

day 3 - shipwreck day

Ready to see a pirate ship in real life? Today, we'll be snorkeling and freediving through the largest shipwreck in the Maldives. The Vaavu Shipwreck is bursting with life, including corals and various types of fish. After our pirate adventure, we’ll spend the rest of the day island hopping.

DAY 4 - whale sharks & manta rays

Today, we'll be snorkeling with the largest fish in the ocean: Whale sharks. At the same time, we'll search for the majestic Manta rays. Watching the Mantas dance underwater will leave your heart filled with joy.

After this incredible bucket list experience, we'll be moving to a new island. The next two days will be spent on one of the most beautiful local islands in the Maldives: Dhigurah Island.

day 5 - exploring dhigurah

Today, we'll enjoy a relaxing beach day on this gorgeous island. Dhigurah Island is known for its pristine white beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush green scenery. Additionally, the island features one of the most stunning sandbanks you'll ever see...

day 6 - back to male

Unfortunately, this amazing adventure has come to an end, and it’s time to part ways. After our last morning together, we will head back to Male Airport by speedboat.

(Staying longer in the Maldives is possible! Contact me for more information, tips & tricks if you want to stay in the Maldives after the group trip.)

FAQ

Do i need to have a diving license to join this trip?

No, absolutely not! This trip is accessible to everyone, both divers and non-divers. All the excursions will be snorkeling excursions, where freediving is also an option. This is your chance to try freediving and learn from a professional team!

Is swimming with sharks safe?

Yes. We will be snorkeling and freediving with Grey Nurse sharks. They are often considered calm and non-aggressive toward humans, which makes them popular in shark-diving activities.

Additionally, our team is highly experienced and trained to provide you with a comfortable, memorable, and safe experience.

Are the photography services included?

Yes! All underwater and drone photos will be taken by our team and sent to each group member. The only photos not included are the drone pictures with the Grey Nurse sharks (+$30 per person).

What are the entry requirements for the Maldives?

Each traveler will receive a free visa on arrival at the airport — valid for 30 days in the Maldives.

Passport requirements

It is essential that each traveller's passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from the country. It can not be close to expiring!

what about refunds?

Refunds can be requested up to 30 days after booking. However, a non-refundable processing fee of 10% will apply. After 30 days, no refunds are possible.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable?

If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an excursion, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling or offering a refund. We want to ensure the best possible experience for your trip and are flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

*Although every past excursion has been a success, there is no 100% guarantee of seeing all the marine life on our trip. They are wild animals, and Mother Nature doesn’t always go as planned.
